Atlantic Cities launches webinar on polycentric tourism

With the aim of sharing best practices in polycentric tourism, Atlantic Cities is organising the webinar ‘Polycentric tourism: balancing tourism flows and developing tourism in inland areas’. This webinar, which will be held on 19 February from 11.00 a.m. and will last two hours, will examine initiatives that can contribute to a more balanced distribution of tourism flows and boost tourism in rural and inland areas. The experts taking part in this course will address the creation of tourism products based on the experience of mobility, the design of tools to monitor tourist behaviour and the creation of institutional management bodies to promote cross-border tourism.

The webinar, organised in the framework of the POST project (Interreg Atlantic Area 2021-2027), is addressed to public authorities, DMOs, SMEs, academics and all those interested in deepening the concept of polycentric tourism. Interpretation will be provided in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.

The programme includes the presentation of the POST Tourism Thematic Group project by Rita Fidalgo, Director of Programmes and Cooperation of Eixo Atlántico, leader of the EU-funded initiative.
